The result of mechanical malfunctions can vary from annoying to deadly. Fuel system contamination may be the result of vandalism, improper fuel type or fuel storage tank level contamination. Although the effects of fuel contamination may be more annoying than dangerous, the repairs can be expensive and the loss of use costly. Using systems diagnostics, laboratory analysis and understanding of fuel system operation, the allegation of fuel system contamination can not only be verified but the extent of damage established.
The failure of one or more mechanical systems is often blamed for causes of collision some of which, in our experience have resulted in occupant and/or pedestrian fatalities.
